Our goal is to educate caregivers in supporting their family  members.  You will learn a variety of self-care tips and strategies to reduce your stress and help you provide better care for your loved one.

Alzheimer’s Disease Overview
Alzheimer's Disease is the most common type of dementia.  Learn more about the Alzheimer's diagnosis, how to recognize the symptoms and treatment options.
 
Caring for the Caregiver
The demands of caregiving can be overwhelming.  Learn ways to lower your stress, ask for assistance and care for yourself.
 
Communication Techniques
As dementia progresses, it becomes more difficult for individuals to express their thoughts and feelings.  Basic instructions become more challenging.  Learn ‘STEPS’ to successfully communicate. 
 
Dealing with Behavioral Issues
Typically,  behavioral management will require the caregiver to modify the home environment and change communication styles. Learn to manage challenging behavioral issues.
 
Housing Options
Most seniors prefer to live independently.  Learn ways to safely extend this choice or explore other housing options. 
 
Medication Management
 
Increased use of medications in the elderly population has potential to cause harm.  Learn safety, prevention and wellness techniques.
 
We conduct classes, for 6 or more, designed to educate caregivers in supporting their family members.  You will learn a variety of self-care tips and strategies to reduce your stress and help you provide better care for your loved one.
 
We will also customize our classes for Employee Assistance Programs, CNA/Home Health Aides   
in-services and Healthcare Agencies.
